Missions Director Sister Margie Billingsley put together the first meeting for the year. It was held Saturday 9-13-08 and the food was plentiful. The ladies talked about how they could let those in other countries know our church cares about them and while we cant travel we can still help across the world here from home. On Saturday 9-06-08 Sister Margie started a Clean Gods House Campaign. Where she asked members to come by at 10:00 A.M and help clean the church. Today was the first of many cleaning sessions to follow. Sis Margie said "Even God likes his house to be cleaned" While the number of Volunteers was low allot of work was accomplished. Everything from vacuuming to dusting and even light bulb changes were taken care of. We are hoping to get more projects finished in future clean Gods house days but for the effort the Church is looking good. We are planning to start reorganizing closets and maybe even start |

It is such a wonderful feeling to know someone is praying for your pastor and church. It also equally great to know that someone cares enough about the community to list ways to pray for the community. I just stumbled on a site that I felt compelled to write about. The site is freedomvoices.net. They have a blog freedomvoices1.blogspot.com in which they list "Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community". I invite you to read the blog and join them in prayer for our community. On the blog they had our church listed and I would like to return the prayers they prayed for us to them. I am asking you to remember them in your prayers. They are providing a great and wonderful service to our Community and Local churches. Also pray for Julie and her husband Randy Hayden.
